Finally, the atmosphere, which is really fun.

Your career prospects

As a recent graduate, you will typically start with us as a software development engineer, study engineer, functional analyst, DevOps engineer, or test and validation engineer.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of roles you could evolve towards:

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Role of the Senior Software Development Engineer

At AViSTO, you contribute to the development of complex software solutions, bringing increasingly valuable input thanks to your growing expertise.

Guided by managers with technical backgrounds, you will have the opportunity to continue enhancing your skills.

You will participate in projects for a variety of clients (software publishers, large industrial groups, SMEs, startups), in diverse technical environments, applying various project methodologies within teams of different sizes.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

You become a senior software development engineer after successfully completing several projects that helped you build solid technical skills in back-end, front-end, or both (full-stack).

You can also choose to specialize in a particular programming language (e.g., C# .NET).

ARCHITECT

Role of the Architect

The software architect is an experienced engineer who has gained the perspective needed to have a global vision of the system to be designed, taking into account its interactions with other subsystems and potential issues (e.g., interoperability).

Architects study the existing system, communicate with various stakeholders, and synthesize all information and requests. In response, they propose an architecture for the software and an associated development plan.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

To become an architect, you generally need 5 to 10 years of software development experience as a developer or expert.

You must have the perspective to design relevant but also operational architectures: understanding their advantages and disadvantages so your decisions are based on concrete, justifiable elements. This allows developers to proceed confidently during implementation.

TECH LEAD

Role of the Tech Lead

The tech leads manage the development work of their teams, actively participating while ensuring deadlines are met.

They also act as facilitators so that all team members can fully express their potential.

Additionally, AViSTO colleagues may ask them for help resolving specific technical challenges.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

To become a tech lead, you must have first built solid experience in your specialty, which gives you the technical legitimacy that is particularly valuable for team management.

PROJECT MANAGER

Role of the Project Manager

The project manager handles workload and schedule management, deadline adherence, team dynamics, and client communication.

At AViSTO, they may also be involved technically in their field of expertise.

If needed, they provide guidance to engineers on their teams.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

The ideal path to become a project manager at AViSTO is to have held a software development engineer position beforehand (or at least completed a significant developer internship).

Hear Hervé, former project manager (now business manager):

“For a first experience, it’s essential to know the field to gain legitimacy. If you’re a young project manager who doesn’t master the technical aspects, it’s very hard to create buy-in. Knowing the field and proving yourself technically for a few years before taking on this new role is, in my view, the right path. It allows a smoother progression in new responsibilities. And this is possible at AViSTO.”

PRODUCT OWNER

Role of the Product Owner

The product owner is responsible for defining and designing the product, embodying its vision.

Often an expert in Agile methodologies, they act as an interface between the technical team and clients.

They bridge the technical and business sides of the project.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

Ideally, you have previously held a technical or project management position.

You have also developed a good understanding of business challenges to communicate in detail with marketing or sales stakeholders.

DEVOPS ENGINEER

Role of the DevOps Engineer

The DevOps engineer manages and supports the environment used to build and test applications automatically and as frequently as possible.

In daily tasks, they implement, administer, and support the IT systems that improve workflow efficiency.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

Typically, a developer interested in system administration tools can become a DevOps engineer. You need to know how to code and be curious about various tools.

At AViSTO, DevOps can be a career evolution, but it is also possible to join directly as a Cloud/DevOps engineer right after graduation.

BUSINESS ENGINEER

Role of the Business Engineer

After initial experience as a developer and/or project manager, you can transition to the role of business engineer.

Working alongside a senior business manager or business unit head, you will be trained in the various aspects of the role (business development / operational HR / project follow-up), gradually gaining autonomy.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

Being a business engineer at AViSTO primarily requires strong interpersonal skills; commercial techniques can be acquired later. What matters most is your personality, understanding of technical issues, and willingness to progress.

If this role appeals to you, or if your AVISTO manager sees potential in you, we will invite you to take on this challenge with us.
