Quality Assurance

Your role

Generally, senior engineers are involved at various levels in the technical and quality oversight of projects. Your experience allows you to solve technical bottlenecks or even anticipate them.

This can include managing a team: assigning the right tasks, understanding different personalities, supporting people in their individual development and that of the team. The many events we organize (technical meetings, seminars, recreational and sports activities, etc.) also help build a strong sense of belonging.

Beyond management, there is a mentoring aspect, guiding young engineers and interns. You teach them development rules, best practices, and rigor.

More broadly, you may provide technical support to engineers facing challenges in your field of expertise. This role is called “domain lead” at AViSTO.

You regularly communicate with our business engineers and often act as a key technical interface with clients.

Finally, as a key engineer in your technical center, you will continue learning by exchanging with domain leads and experts in all of the AViSTO’s areas of expertise.

If you wish, you can also benefit from training to complete or strengthen your technical skills and thus enhance your leadership.

Technical centers where you will be welcomed

You will be hosted in one of our technical centers located in:

Jobs

Here is a non-exhaustive list of positions held by senior engineers at AViSTO:

SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Role of the senior software development engineer

At AViSTO, you participate in the development of complex software solutions, and your experience will be increasingly valued.

Supervised by managers with a technical background, you have the opportunity to continue enriching your skills.

You work on projects for various clients (software publishers, large industrial companies, SMEs, startups) in diverse technical environments, applying different project methodologies within teams of varying sizes.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

You became a senior software development engineer after successfully completing several projects that helped you build a solid technical background in back-end, front-end, or both (full-stack).

You may also have specialized in a particular programming language (e.g., C# .NET).

ARCHITECT

Role of the architect

As a software architect, your experience has given you the perspective needed to have a global vision of the system to design, considering its interactions with other subsystems and potential issues (e.g., interoperability).

You study the existing system, communicate with stakeholders, and synthesize all information and requirements.

In response, you propose an architecture for the software to be developed along with an associated development plan.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

To be an architect at AViSTO, you need 5 to 10 years of experience in software development as a developer or expert.

This experience allows you to design relevant but also practical architectures: understanding their pros and cons so that your choices are based on solid, justifiable reasons.

When implemented, developers can thus proceed confidently.

TECH LEAD

Role of the tech lead

The tech leads manage the development work of their teams, in which they also participate, ensuring deadlines are met.

They must also act as a facilitator so all team members can reach their full potential.

Finally, AViSTO colleagues may call on them for help resolving specific technical challenges.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

To be a tech lead at AViSTO, you have built solid experience in your specialty.

This has helped you establish your “technical legitimacy,” which is especially valuable for team management.

PROJECT MANAGER

Role of the project manager

The project manager handles workload and scheduling, meeting deadlines, team management and dynamics, and communication with the client.

At AViSTO, you may also intervene at the technical level within your area of expertise.

If needed, you can advise engineers on your team.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

The ideal path to become a project manager at AViSTO is to have previously held this role or at least worked as a software development engineer.

Knowing the project domain and having proven yourself technically over several years before taking this role helps build support around you and your decisions.

PRODUCT OWNER

Role of the product owner

The product owner is responsible for defining and designing the product, carrying its vision.

Often an expert in Agile methodologies, they act as an interface between the technical team and clients.

They bridge the technical and functional sides of the project.

They also have a strong understanding of business challenges to discuss details with marketing or sales representatives.

PROJECT DIRECTOR

Role of the project director

The project director’s role is to improve project delivery on “commitment-based” offers (scope, deadlines, quality, costs).

Supported by a team of project managers and scrum masters, they set up and lead a reproducible project framework.

Although each project has specificities, implementing common best practices in methods, cybersecurity, and maintainability enables collaboration within and between teams.

Is there a typical profile at AViSTO?

To be a project director at AViSTO, you need about fifteen years of engineering experience, including five in project management and three in project direction.
